Welcome to the Planning Collaborative!
We provide land use planning assistance to small towns in northwest Connecticut with an emphasis on village center vitality and housing that is affordable to working families and seniors. Our current contributing member towns are Canaan, Cornwall, Goshen, Kent, North Canaan, Norfolk, Salisbury and Sharon.
Through this Collaborative, we provide efficient and cost effective professional planning services to our partner towns. We also plan to share our work with all towns in the Northwest Connecticut and Litchfield Hills planning regions.
Many planning issues in this region are similar across all towns. Rather than each individual town using their own scarce resources to pay for planning assistance, the Collaborative will prepare and share technical planning advice by professional planners hired to serve the regional area.
